How does NFC technology work?
NFC (Near Field Communication) lets two devices share data when held close together — usually within a few centimeters. Every Contact Co. product — bands, rings, metal cards and keychains — has a tiny NFC chip embedded inside. When someone taps it with their smartphone, your contact page opens instantly in their browser.
Does it work without the Contact Co. app?
Yes. The Contact Co. app is only required during the initial setup or anytime you want to update your information. Once your device has been set up, the app is not required for everyday use.
Anyone you share your information with can simply tap your device using their NFC-enabled smartphone, and your profile will open instantly — no app is required on their device.
Is it compatible with all phones?
Our NFC products work with all modern Android and iPhone (iPhone 7 and newer) devices. No special settings required on Android; iPhone users simply hold their phone near your Contact Co. device.
How do I set up my Contact Co. device with my phone?
For iPhone users, tap the Contact Co. logo near the speaker or camera. For Android users, tap the logo in the middle-back of the phone. A notification will guide you to download the app. Complete the registration to set up your profile and ensure NFC is enabled.
Can I update my contact info after purchase?
Yes! You can update your profile anytime in the Contact Co. app. Changes go live instantly — your band, card or keychain always shares your latest information.
Can I wear it while swimming or working out?
Your wearable is designed to withstand everyday activities, including workouts and exposure to sweat. While it is water resistant, we do not recommend wearing it while swimming or submerging it in water for extended periods. If your wearable does get wet, allow it to dry completely for 24–48 hours before using it again.
